SynopsisWe have observed an almost insane growth on the development of applications for mobile devices! But we are not yet on the summit! All the reports and market studies point to an even bigger growth during the next months supported also by the enterprise applications. By the other side, mobile users have higher expectations regarding the quality of the applications. A simple bug or usability issue can take an application out of the tops and ultimately, out of the market. Is your testing team ready and up for this challenge? Or are they still applying the same test strategy that worked for the desktop or web applications? Join this session to understand some common (but not always obvious) pain points to avoid when preparing a mobile testing strategy.

SynopsisThe public IPv4 address space managed by IANA (http://www.iana.org) has been completely depleted by Feb 1st, 2011. This creates by itself an critical challenge when adding new things and enabling new services on the Internet. Without publicly routable IP addressing, the Internet of Things combined with 5G networks and anything that’s part of Internet of Everything (IoE) would be greatly reduced in its capabilities and limit its potential success. Most discussions about IoE have been based on the illusionary assumption that the IP address space is an unlimited resource or it’s even taken for granted that IP is like oxygen produced for free by nature. The introduction of IPv6 provide enhanced features that were not tightly designed or scalable in IPv4 like IP mobility, ad hoc services; etc catering for the extreme scenario where IP becomes a commodity service enabling lowest cost networking deployment of large scale sensor networks, RFID, IP in the car, to any imaginable scenario where networking adds value to commodity. IPv6 deployment is now in full swing with some countries achieving over 50% penetration such as Belgium or the US and India with over 100 M users using IPv6 without even the users knowing it. Most of 4G networks in the US are deployed with IPv6and even T-Mobile US has deployed 4G with IPv6 only. Apple has required its apps developers to use IPv6 only for their apps staring June 1, 2016 which a great shot in the arm of IPv6. There are many inflections points happening this decade to influence the design of first tangible 4G/5G networks It will be a combination of IoT, SDN-NFV, Cloud Computing, Edge Computing, Big IoT Data and 5G to sift through to realising this paradigm shift. This talk will be devoted to analyze the transformative impact of IPv6 on 5G and IoT using the potential mix of IPv6-based IoT, SDN-NFV, Cloud Computing, Big Data and 5G and its advanced features, highlighting the challenges and solutions moving forward.

SynopsisBuilding systems that scale and adapt to change is the core premise of Microservices. The Reactive Manifesto gives us a set of architectural principles to guide us when building systems of this kind, but what does this look like in practice? As a CTO, systems or data architect, how can you select which technologies to include? Can you take advantage of serverless without getting locked into a vendor? How are Microservices and Serverless even related? There are specific patterns and data designs you can apply to build systems that can scale and take advantage of new and existing technologies and skills to deliver the promise of Microservices on the modern cloud, scalable, agile systems. This talk goes through them all, covering data architectures and options for building reactive, distributed systems using Java and other runtimes including serverless, stream processing and various event architectures. Finally we will look at how to build a Reactive API strategy to give you easy and performant integration between runtimes, browser and mobile applications.
